Handmade paper is a topic close to my heart
My passion for working with handmade paper began years ago when I studied conservation and printmaking in art school. I love learning how beautiful paper is made by artisans around the world and experimenting with different materials and techniques to create uniquely gorgeous and textured pieces of paper.
Today, in my Design and Letterpress Studio, I get to work every day with some of the finest papers from around the globe. Each piece is a blank canvas ready to be transformed into a story-as an invitation, announcement, piece of stationary, or part of a larger project such as a work of art.
The kit in front of you represents something I’ve wanted to create for a long time. After many attempts over the last 12 months, I’ve produced this easy-to-use and effective way for anyone wishing to make handmade deckled stationery and matching envelopes at home.
